Helicopter in the Sky

Helicopters flying by
Helicopters floating through the sky
You have so many things to accomplish before you die
But for one brief moment you start out by learning to fly

One day you'll sprout into a mighty tree
And become a shelter for both bird and bee
You will drink the rains before they travel to the seas
And stretch out branches to feel the gentle breeze

In summer your shady shelter I shall know
In fall you will put on a spectacular color show
You will rise up and catch the coming winter snow
New green will sprout with returning spring water flow

As I sip my morning coffee and look up to the sky
I watch the helicopters that keep floating by.
