This is a Lion Fish. Apparently they also have very poisonous spines. I took the aquarium's word for it.

I think koi and lionfish are tied for my fave bony fish . .. a wonderful shot!

I think that's the first lion fish I've seen up close and not on the discovery channel. They are very pretty fish.
